FIT™ gives you the practical and facilitation skills required to create firewalking events for personal-development, public and corporate settings.
The programme combines precise technical learning with mental, physical and reflective practice. You learn how to work with fire responsibly, how to prepare a group, how to communicate clearly and how to keep choice and safety at the centre of the experience.
Some participants intend to build a professional practice. Others join for personal insight, leadership development or a deeper relationship with fire. No previous firewalking experience is required.

FIT™ also develops the judgement needed to facilitate other high-impact experiential processes.
These activities are taught as structured learning experiences—not stunts. The course addresses their preparation, meaning, facilitation and safety, including:
- barefoot walking on broken glass
- board and brick breaking with bare hands
- arrow breaking and partnered steel-bar bending
- breath work, drum journey and other reflective practices
Every process is approached through experiential learning: instructors practise what they may later choose to facilitate.

FIT™ traces its methodology to Tolly Burkan, widely recognised as a founder of the modern firewalking movement. Its professional lineage has been carried through generations of instructor trainers and is supported today by the international firewalking community.
Your trainer
Bence L. Tarr
Bence brings together firewalking mastery, cultural anthropology and oriental studies, Buddhist teaching and extensive experience leading groups through fire. His intercultural perspective connects technical precision with a broad understanding of ritual, meaning and human change.
The programme is delivered in English and Hungarian, with German translation opportunities available by arrangement.
Completion and certification
Capability demonstrated in practice.
Successful completion leads to an English-language diploma as a FIT™ Certified Firewalking Instructor.
The certificate documents the course content, skills and practical work completed. The training culminates in a 12-metre firewalk: a demanding personal experience that asks each future instructor to meet the depth of focus they may later invite in others.
Certification is not permission to ignore context or risk. Graduates leave with a framework for responsible practice and a clear understanding that professional preparation, local requirements and participant welfare remain essential at every event.

Training and certification
Four full seminar days, course materials, the training manual and the FIT™ certificate. Travel, meals and accommodation are separate.
