Experience before explanation
Insight becomes memorable when it is felt, tested and reflected upon—not only discussed.
About Napkapu · Doorway to the Sun · Since 2004
Napkapu brings together experiential self-development, authentic firewalking and progressive methods that help people meet themselves more fully.
Discover NapkapuA doorway into possibility
Since 2004, it has grown as both a professional practice and a living community: a meeting place for people who want to understand themselves more deeply, move beyond familiar limits and bring insight into action.
Founded by Bence László Tarr, Napkapu offers personal consultation, group programmes, organisational development and internationally rooted firewalking education. The methods may be unusual, but the intention is clear: to create meaningful experiences that support awareness, responsibility and lasting change.
People arrive from different professions, cultures and worldviews. No single belief system is required. Curiosity, personal choice and a willingness to engage honestly are enough.

Insight becomes memorable when it is felt, tested and reflected upon—not only discussed.

Every meaningful step is voluntary. Choice, boundaries and personal agency remain central.

Body, thought, emotion, relationship and meaning are invited into the same learning process.

Living lineages are approached with respect and translated carefully into contemporary settings.
From intimate personal work to organisational learning.
Founder and lead facilitator
Cultural anthropologist, Grand Master of Firewalking, internationally recognised H.E.M.A.-ist fencing coach, knowledge and wisdom-keeper, certified organisational-development consultant, senior trainer and coach.
Bence has worked with personal and organisational development for more than twenty-five years and has accompanied more than five hundred people through individual coaching and consultation. His practice connects rigorous professional reflection with embodied, experiential learning.
His international firewalking education includes instructor training in Portugal and advanced Masters training in Costa Rica. In December 2024, The Firewalking Center recognised two decades of work by awarding him the title Grand Master of Firewalking.
Across a conference stage, a coaching conversation or a ceremonial fire, the aim remains the same: help people discover what is already alive within them and turn that discovery into a conscious next step.
International lineage · Hungarian home
Napkapu’s approach stands in the modern firewalking lineage shaped by The Firewalking Center, founded by Tolly Burkan in the United States, and by Rolf and Åsa Beckman’s Eight Directions training in Sweden. Bence was trained and certified through teachers who carried this work internationally and made its professional transmission possible.
Today Napkapu carries that lineage in Hungary while remaining part of a wider international community. Both Bence and Napkapu helped found the Global Firewalking Alliance and the United Fires professional community. Through these relationships, Napkapu represents the international FIT™ community in Hungary and works to keep professional standards, cultural respect and open dialogue at the heart of contemporary firewalking.
Bence is a Director and a Board Member of the Global Firewalking Alliance.

Professionally held · fully human
Napkapu does not ask people to choose between evidence and meaning.
Firewalking and other progressive methods are approached with practical preparation, professional responsibility and clear safety standards. At the same time, the symbolic, cultural and spiritual dimensions of an experience are treated with respect.
There is no single universal firewalk. Napkapu adapts the form, language and preparation to the participants’ cultural context and worldview, recognising that firewalking is practised through many distinct and authentic traditions.
The result is not a search for spectacle or an extreme experience. It is a carefully structured opportunity for self-discovery—one that can serve an individual, a small community, a professional team or a large public gathering without losing its human centre.
Ways to work with Napkapu
The format changes with the people and the purpose. The commitment to careful preparation, direct experience and useful integration does not.
Personal attention for transitions, decisions and questions that need more than a ready-made answer.
